Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany (data centre in the EU). When the site is accessed, the server processes technically necessary data (IP address, date and time, requested address, browser identifier) in order to deliver the page and fend off attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). Logs are deleted after 14 days at the latest. A data processing agreement is in place with the provider.
Contact form
When you use the form, we process your name, your email address, the selected topic and your message – solely to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to prepare a quote. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures). The enquiry is stored on the server and forwarded to us by email (see “Contact by email”). If no contract results, we delete the data after six months at the latest; if a contract is concluded, the statutory retention periods apply.
To protect against automated spam submissions, the form checks a hidden field, the time taken to fill it in and the number of enquiries per IP address within one hour (held in memory only, not stored permanently).
Contact by email
When you write to us by email, we process your address and the content of your message in order to reply (Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR). Our mailbox is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH (data centre in Germany); a data processing agreement is in place with the provider. Notifications from the contact form are also sent via Hetzner’s mail server.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, the right to data portability and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Simply send an email to service@ketshop.de. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Brandenburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Access to Information.
